Why Nestle and Novartis do not offer some corresponding product?

The raw materials COLLAGEN & HYALURON basically always comes from Asia. Therefore both, food and pharmaceutical giants have no great interest in the two products.

 
A distinction is made according pharmazeutical- for injections, cosmetic- for creams & ointments and food-grade for food supplements.

Patents are much more interesting, nobody would advertise for vitamin C tablets, all other producers would as well benefit from it. It's much more profitable to sell a secret formula  to customers in order to ask for an exorbitant price.

Even generics that had no research and development costs are still very expensive, especially on the Swiss market.
